changing products and categories

Does anyone know if there is a simple way to delete and/or change categories please. I have looked through help and come up with nothing. I am wanting to shake things up a bit in my shop annshirley.co.uk and possible upgrade but feel a bit worried about losing content. May be me of course since I am a bit of a dead head when it comes to computers at times.

Hi Anne, haven't been at this for too long myself, only a few weeks, take a look at the general discussion link in the forum and there is a post there about upgrading your eshop, with regards to changing/deleting products, log in to your shop and select products, his should show you all the products in your shop, you can change and delete products from here, you can also do this by selecting products/categories link and make changes and deletions from there, hope this helps, let me know, haven't got a whole load of experience myself, I'm sure someone else willcome up with a better way shortly.

Hi Anne,

The easiest way I have found to edit categories is from the Content / categories menu then data sheet view. This lists all your page types. If you click a category name you can then edit it's id to change the display name.

You can also put a tick against your pages and using the drop down arrow select the delete option.

Thank you for the reply, I will have another go now, think I keep getting myself bogged down so have decided to take a step back and  start believing that I can do this. Positive thinking from now on!!!!!!
